Yes, I remember that language from Byron Katie’s practice called The Work, which involves asking yourself questions to examine your feelings. It’s used especially in moments where there are hard feelings around interpersonal dynamics. I love that asking yourself “is it true” is helpful for you, Tayloranne. It has really helped me in the past when I go through the whole process of The Work, but I don’t think I’ve tried just using that one simple question on its own. So powerful!
